Is the Magento platform a solution or a problem?

… you are not the only one. Many sellers chose the online store on the Magento platform. It offers multi combinations, e.g. multiple currencies, multiple brands, multiple domains, multiple languages under a single administration. This is the unique advantage of the Magento platform.

The advantage of the Magento platform comes from its complexity, but it is precisely its complexity that can also cause problems for the user or even crash the store. All components of the Magento platform are interconnected and interacting with one another, so a reckless interference in the code can disrupt the proper functioning of the page. This is why it would always be necessary to carry out a preliminary overview of the whole code before making the changes and to prepare a plan for how to implement the desired changes without ruining the functioning of the rest of the system.

It can be both. Magento offers certain solutions, but it also brings some problems. Therefore, it depends on the individual client whether Magento is suitable for them or not.

What kind of challenges does the online seller meet with ?

Every online merchant wants everything on his online store, as it provides a competitive advantage. They would like to be present in the foreign markets, automation, connection with Vasco, Navision programs and more. Consequently, this brings a greater scope of work in the administration (translating, copying products into different languages, images, etc.), as well as logistical difficulties in terms of different shipping pricing, country-specific rules, and so on. We have not even begun to factor in marketing in foreign markets.

On the one hand, the desire for the most extensive functionality that requires a lot of work, while on the other side is the budget, which in most cases is of course not unlimited.

What about the web agencies?

The development through the web agency begins with the client preparing a wish list on what the web site should contain. The list or specification is a type of seminar paper, and the agency must first derive key information and data from the received material, which immediately requires a certain amount of time. All of this is followed by meetings, collaboration, more detailed specification, all of which can last from two to eight weeks, or even more for demanding and more extensive projects.

Most web agencies are forced to make a number of financially substandard transactions, because they are largely dependent on the amount of work they obtain. This is forcing the agencies to seek new projects in the middle of the job, in order to cover the costs of the company. And what does this mean for the client - online seller? It means nothing more than a poorer quality of service, since projects are made in half, under financial pressure (by the online merchant and agencies), and bad solutions inflict additional adjustments, new adjustments, in short, additional costs and extra time.

And what if the agency manages to fulfill all the wishes of the client at low-cost? A new problem arises: the online seller is not able to run an online store in all markets, nor can they use all the functionality they wanted. Thus, online sellers often end up using only a few functionalities of Magento online store, but they pay the cost as if they were using everything.

Do we belong together?

Persuading a client and selling theam a solution, that may be good for someone else but is not perfect for the client's needs, is not our approach. We want to see the client's point of view. The most important thing is to find out what is best, most optimal for them at the beginning of the cooperation. This way, the implementation of the project is much easier, quicker, and the clients actually get what they need for successful business.
